Scientific and Technological research in Israel   Data about Israel's participation (as an Associated Country) in the Fifth and Sixth EU Framework Program of Research and Technological Development (1998-2007) confirm the excellent scientific and technological level reached by this country. For instance, Israel's paybacks from the FP (financial contributions aimed at the  participation of Israeli research institutions and companies in research projects funded by the European Commission) turned out to be higher than the funds contributed by Israel to the initiative.
