Emergencies

When the Embassy is closed and in case of proven emergency for Italian citizens it is possible to contact the Embassy's emergency number: +972 (0)54 495 3862.

Visiting Italy

For tourist information on Italy, travel ideas and updated news on the main destinations, visit the official website Tourism in Italy.
► The main Italian cities have recently created Limited Traffic Zones (LTZ). To avoid tickets tourists are advised to verify in advance the regulations applied by the municipalities they intend to visit (cities of Rome, Milan, Florence).

Visiting Israel

Italian citizens wanting to visit Israel do not normally need entry visa. For more information please visit the website of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Rome.
Italian travelers are advised to consult the Viaggiare Sicuri website maintained by the Crisis Unit of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to the departure. Also, Italian travelers are advised to register their journey in the website Dove Siamo nel Mondo.

Italian Business Desk

The Italian Business Desk includes the Economic and Commercial Office, the Scientific Office, the Italian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It operates in synergy with the Italian Trade Promotion Agency.
The Business Desk is located on the eighth floor of the Trade Tower, Hamered 25, Tel Aviv and it can be contacted via e-mail at sportellounico.telaviv@esteri.it.

Consular information

elections 2013
For information on how Italian citizens residing abroad can vote for the Italian 2013 elections, please visit regularly the "News and announcements" section of this webpage and the website of the Italian Ministry of Interior (information might be available only in Italian).

provision of consular services
The Consular Chancery of the Embassy of Italy is open from Monday to Friday, 9.00 to 12.00. Consular services are provided by appointment only. Appointments are exclusively arranged trough the dedicated on-line procedure.

italian community
Over 12.000 Italian citizens reside in Israel. They are represented by the Comitato degli Italiani all'Estero (Comites) elected in 2004 as per Legge 286/2003. Adv. Beniamino Lazar is Comites' President. Comites is the main body representing the Italian community in interacting with the Embassy of Italy in Tel Aviv. The Italian Cultural Institutes of Tel Aviv and Haifa offer a venue for intellectuals, artists, cultural operators and Italian and foreign citizens to explore and enjoy Italian language and culture. The Cultural Institutes are very active through a wide range of promotion activities and initiatives in the field of language and cultural cooperation.
